Florida Indian Heritage Association, Inc. Greetings FIHA Trader , This is your official invitation for the FIHA’s March Powwow and/or FIHA’s Thunder on the Beach P owwow . The dates for Thunder on the Beach are February 1 9 - 21 , 20 2 1 . Thunder on the Beach will be at the Indian River County Fairgrounds located at 7955 58 th A venue Vero Beach , Fl orida 3 2967 , The dates for the FIHA March Powwow will be March 2 6 - 2 8 , 20 2 1 . FIHA’s March Powwow will be using the St. Lucie County Fairgrounds located at 15601 W. Midway Road, Ft. Pierce, Florida 34945 . NOTE : IF CAMPING IS DESIRED AT EITHER LOCATION , YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO CALL OR EMA I L US TO MAKE RESERVATIONS . The number to call is (772) 519 - 7888 or emai l camping@FIHA.us . There are more than 80 full hook - up camp sites at both fairgrounds that include electric & septic. Full hookup c amping fees will be $ 30 .00 per night, payable to FIHA. You should make any camping reservations as soon as possible . • Y ou will not be allowed to camp or make living arrangements at your booth. • You are not allowed to keep utility trailer s or vehicles at your trading site or under the arena . • Both C ounty Fairgrounds require you to have fire retardant booth material and curren t certified fire extinguishers . Ther e will be an inspection by the F ire Marshall . • Personal vehicles will be allowed into the Vendor booth area ONLY for the purpose of unloading on set up days and must be out of the covered arena by 10:00PM Thursday night. Vehicles can move a bout the grounds but must be parked by 9: 3 0AM each morning prior to the gates opening . Once gates are open there will be no vehicle movement about the public areas. • All fo od vendors shall have staff that has obtained the ServSafe Food Handler Training . • Food Vendors attending the March Powwow are REQUIRED to register with SLC Parks and complete the mobile concessions application. • In comp liance with COVID - 19 CDC Guidelines, face coverings and social distancing will be enforced. FIHA will be provid ing hand sanitizing stations and staff will be wiping things down to make the even t safe. We ask ou r ven d ors to do their best to encourage social distancing in their booths. There will be a vendor/ staff luncheon and me eting on Friday at 1 pm. FIHA will be providing some food and we ask that if you are able, please bring a dish for all t o share. We ask that y ou will also b ring your own eating utensils, cup, fork etc. Please make plans for providing your own meals for the rest of the weekend by supporting our food vendors . We also have a n auction on Saturda y , March 27, 2021 at the March Powwow . A s part of your Trader registration we ask that you donate an mod erately priced item to the Powwow committee for the auction ; an item tha t will positively reflect on you as one of our valued traders. ALL ITEMS in your booth must bear a label or some other identification with the origin of manufacturing, either by Tribal affiliation, you or your relatives, or imported country of origin . NO EXCEPTIONS! T he committee reserves the right to inspect your booth at any time . If any of the objects are improperly displayed you will be issued a verbal warning and be allowed to bring your articles into compliance . If a second violation occurs you will be asked to close your booth and leave the powwow, and this direction wil l only come from the Powwow Chairman. We require that all vendors be open 15 minutes prior to the gates opening each day and that all vendors remain open 30 minutes after that last song and conclusion of dancing to accommodate all of our visitors. FIHA ’s Thunder on the Beach Powwow vendor fee is currently $275.00 for 20’ x 20 ’ and $150 for 10’ x 10 ’ . FIHA’s March Powwow vendor fee is currently $275.00 for 20’ x 2 0 ’ and $150 for 10’ x 10 ’ . You can choose to attend both events and if you book and pay your deposit for both events prior to January 15, 20 2 1 , the vendor fee for both events is $ 5 00.00 for the 20’ x 20 ’ space and $275 for th e 10 ’ x10 ’ space . Deposit and registration form are due no later than Januar y 15, 2021 . D eadline for payment in full is February 1, 202 1 . Please include photos of your booth and a description of the items in which you sell.
