slide2. Why do leaves change colour in Autumn? Why do leaves change colour in Autumn? Leaves are green with chlorophyll. But over time it collapses, and when the sunny day is shortened, the light becomes insufficient for its regeneration. The leaves are change colour with carotenoids - orange, yellow or red pigments.<br>
slide3. Where do chestnuts grow? Chestnuts grow in Europe, Asia, North America, Australia, New Zealand. They also grow in Ukraine. There is a Chestnuts’ Streeet in Ukraine.<br>
slide4. How many species are there in the world? There are four main species of chestnuts along with several minor species. The four main species are the Japanese chestnut, the Chinese chestnut, the American chestnut and the European chestnut.<br>
slide5. What is the life span? The life span of chestnut is two hundred-five hundred years. This tree is long lasting. In Sant'Alfio, on the slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily, the oldest chestnut in the world grows. It is 2 thousand years old<br>
slide6. How big are these trees? Chestnut's size is 50 meters. But some chestnuts are smaller. Horse Chestnut’s size is 35 meters.<br>
