slide10. SAUDI RIYAL CURRENCY (SAR) All Haj Pilgrims will get Saudi Riyals currency notes at identified SBI branches.
These branches will be selected District/City wise and advised to Contact person at each embarkation point very soon.
Haj Trainers will guide Hajis name of branch for obtaining currency.
Haj Trainers will help them in filling up the forms – A2 Form, FEMA declaration Application for Foreign Travel card<br>
slide11. SAUDI RIYAL CURRENCY Identified SBI branches will be provided list of Haj Pilgrims visiting their branch for currency and Foreign travel card
Haj pilgrims will carry above- mentioned forms to branches for obtaining currency and card
These branches will verify the documents with Haji’s data provided to them and process transaction for currency.
Those Hajis having SB account with SBI can get SAR currency upto USD 3000 equivalent . Account should be operative and PAN fed in system.
Those not having SBI account will get only upto Rs.50000/- equivalent SAR.<br>
slide12. SAUDI RIYAL CURRENCY It is suggested that those who do not maintain account with SBI can open account at nearby SBI branch for hassle free distribution of SAR and Foreign Travel Card.
SBI will be in touch with Haj Trainers and Contact person at embarkation point for any query/doubt/communication
SBI needs detailed address of embarkation point, local Haj admin contact person and haj flight schedule
Haj trainers will provide number of hajis travelling under their jurisdiction and approximate amount of SAR currency required to enable us to arrange stock of currency and card accordingly.<br>
slide13. RBI GUIDELINES For travellers proceeding for Haj/ Umrah pilgrimage, full amount of entitlement (USD 250,000) in cash or up to the cash limit as specified by the Haj Committee of India, may be released.
On return from Haj, pilgrims are required to surrender unspent foreign exchange held in the form of currency notes and card balance within 180 days of return. However, they are free to retain foreign exchange up to USD 2,000, in the form of foreign currency notes or card balance for future use.<br>
