April Showers bring May Flowers Classroom News
Please send students with (homework) folders to school EVERYDAY!
Please sign the behavior calendar.
Parent, please make sure your child is practicing and learning their high frequency and heart words.
Please label Everything: jackets/sweaters/sweatshirts, water bottles, lunch boxes, and snacks with student’s names. If lost, items properly labeled can be returned quickly.
Please send your child a snack. Teachers nor does the school provide daily snacks or water bottles for students. Snack-time is at 10:30 am. Lunchtime is at 12:13 pm.
Please do not send toys, cell phones, money or electronic devices to school. They are not allowed. Teachers nor the school is responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items. Thank you so much for your help.

Our Zoo Field Trip was a success!
Sending a very big THANK YOU!!! to the parents that volunteered. The weather was amazing and so were our Kinder-Babies. You All Rock!

Monday: Chicken nugget or PB&J Bento Box Tuesday: Grilled Ham & Cheese or Yogurt Box
Wednesday: Teriyaki Meatballs & Rice, or Turkey/Cheese Sub
Thursday: Cheesy Chicken Ziti or BYO Pizza
Friday: Cheese Pizza or PB&J Bento Box
Drink Choice:
Milk: white, chocolate, strawberry or juice What We’re Learning Next Week:
Reading: Our theme this week is insects. We will read a nonfiction text and work on using *our KWL chart and retelling facts. We will also read a fiction texts about insects and learn about author’s purpose.
Math: We will begin Topic 10-Sums and Differences to 20.
Science: Insects-Observing and
learning about the lifecycle of the
Butterfly.
Social Studies- Honoring/Celebrating
Special People.
HOMEWORK
Homework folder goes home this week on Monday, April 13, 2026, and due back Friday, April 17, 2026
Read and review *sight words a minimum of 30 minutes daily. Sight/Heart Words are in student’s homework folder.
Parents, please assist your child in logging-on
*I-Ready: Math and Reading, Imagine Learning and Decodable Reads 45 minutes per week.
Student’s login through the Clever app, using their *log-in Clever badge are in student’s homework folder.
*New items needed alert!
Parents, our class needs a few items to finish out our year: *copy paper white (needed to print test, weekly assignments/newsletters and homework packets), glue sticks, crayons disinfectant wipes, 1 roll of paper towel, and 1 box of Kleenex tissues.
