Muslims will pray 2 rakah in congregation, the Imam will deliver 2 sermons and make lots of du’aas for rain. He should pray 2 rakah as Istikhara prayer, asking Allah for the better decision.<br>

Prophet Muhammad (sal….) taught us to turn to Allah during this time, to pray, seek forgiveness and make a lot of du’aas.<br>

Pg. no. 100 The solar eclipse prayer has 2 Qiyaam, 2 rukoo and 2 sujood in first rakah, the same 2 Qiyaam, 2 rukoo and 2 sujood in second rakah (altogether 4 Qiyaam, 4 rukoo & 4 sujood) That’s why it is different from other prayers. Nowadays it is easy to find out the dates for eclipses through meteorology, hence it is easy to perform the sunnah prayers on the prescribed occasions.<br>

The istikhara prayer would be done for seeking Allah’s guidance and entrusting Him to choose the best for us. An advisor should be a well wisher, trustworthy, sincere and an honest person who can guide someone in the best possible way. We can consult the AWQAF centers and sharia courts in UAE when we have doubts regarding any jurisprudential rule.<br>
