We continue to have great parades. W e expect this year to be the best yet! This year’s theme is “Kuna Days – Tailgate Party ” The Parade entry fee this year will be $ 6 0 .00 for entries received on or before Ju ne 19 , 20 2 1 and $ 7 5 .00 for entries received after Ju ne 20 , 20 2 1 . If you are entering more than one vehicle for your Organization or Business, please add $10 to the entry fee. Please indicate on your entry form how many vehicles there will be, this w ill help in our line - up process . For any Animal/Horse entries there will be an extra $10 cleaning fee (refundable) The line - up will be in the Kuna Middle School parking lot. Please read the parade rules letter . Registration will start at 8:00 a.m. sharp and end at 9:15 a.m. sharp. The parade is scheduled to be on Main Street at 10:00 a.m. so we need to leave the parking lot by 9: 4 5 a.m. to be at Main St. by 10:00 . a.m. The judges may walk around the line - up are a judging all entries so it’s very important for all entries to be at the Middle School and in place by 9:15 a . m. The alternative is the judges will be near the announcer on Main Street . You will be notified within the next week after Kuna Days. If you are pre - r egistered you will be given your number at the registration booth the morning of the parade and directed t o your area for line up. We do not line up in numerical order. Number is for announcer identification and judging purposes only . If you are not registered you will need to fill out the entry form and pay the late entry fee at the registration booth before moving into the line - up area. To make things more efficient its best that you mail your entry form in before the parade day. All mailed entries should be received on or before T hursday , Ju ne 25 , 20 2 1 . Again, this year, Kuna & area Fire De partments will bring up the end of the parade with a water fight. Parade participants are welcome to join us. Let us know at line up so we can put you right before the Fire Department. Remember spectators are known to bring their own water and fire back! Directions to the Middle School for parade entries : go west on Deer Flat Rd. off of Hwy 69 (Kuna - Meridian Hwy) to Ten Mile Rd turn south on Ten Mile and go down to Boise Street turn south onto Boise Street. There is VERY SPECIFIC directions for Drop Offs ONLY, participant Park ONLY and Horse Trailer Parking. Please see attached map for details. ( P lease read the parade rules). All parade entry participants will be responsible to get the directions to all people in your float or entry! Make sure ALL pa rents or participants see where they will be parking or dropping off. It is very important to be at the staging area early and set up by 9:15 am sharp. Kuna Chamber of Commerce, Kuna Days Parade, PO Box 123, Kuna, Idaho 83634 www.kunachamber.org or 208 - 922 - 9254 Kuna Days Parade Rules ALL PARADE PARTICIPANTS – YOU WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED TO ENTER PARADE FROM BOISE STREET OFF TEN MILE RD. ALL PARTICIPANTS NEED TO BE READY AND SET UP BY 9:15AM! P lan ahead t here will be long lines and waiting, so p lease be courteous and patient with other participants and attentive to your child/children. There will be NO TOLERANCE for being rude or not following the parade entry directions. ➢ PARKING FOR PARADE PARTICIPANTS: (See attached map) If you are a parade participant please proceed to the SECOND TURN into middle school parking lot and park. If you are an Organization, Business or Church group it would be best to car pool to the Middle School or meet in a general area in town and travel to the Middle School as a group. If you have more than one vehicle in your entry , please don't enter the l ineup area until all your vehicles have arrived so we are sure there is room for you to be together in the staging area and in the parade. ➢ DROP OFF ONLY PARKING: See attached map) If you are just dropping off a participant please pull into Middle School P arking lot by the Kuna Sheriff’s – YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO STAY PARKED THERE! THIS IS FOR DROP OFFS ONLY! ➢ Horse /Animal Entries (new unloading location this year) (See attached map) If you are a parade participant with horses - proceed to the 3 rd /last entrance to the middle school parking lots and go to the far back dirt parking lot to set up. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR ANIMALS/ HORSES BEFORE/DURING/AFTER PARADE . IF THERE ARE ANY REMINENTS LEFT BEHIND, WE WILL BE KEEPING ALL CLEANING DEPOSITS. SO PLEASE HELP EACH OTHER OUT BY KEEPING AN EYE OUT. B e courteous have bring an extra person to help clean up as you travel through the parade. W e do not have pooper scoopers. It is important there are no large gaps between parade entries. There should be 15 to 25 feet between each entry. Please maintain this distance between you and the entry immediately in front of you. The Parade Announcer will be located on Main Street in front of the Community Hall and will introduce each entry with information provided (except for day of parade registrations). If you would like to provide information about your organization or entry, please include it with your registration or email it to information@kunachamber.com. Candy or advertisements are allowed , but you must have individuals to walk along the parade route handing it out. (Due to the liability we don’t want the children runni ng into the street for candy) All participants in the parade are responsible for making sure their staging area is cleaned up after the parade. K una is a great place to live, work , play and celebrate. Thank you for participating and making this year’s parade great. Have fun and be safe!
