Candidates for the 2019 SWCD Board of Supervisors Special Election Jessica King – A bio was not received from this candidate. Jason R. Lee— Jason Northern University with a BS in Biology and an Integrated Science license to teach 7th-12th grade in the state of Ohio. Jason went on to receive a Masters in Biology from Saint Joseph’second Masters in Environmental from Youngstown State. Jason is currently on his 14th year of teaching high school science courses ranging from environmental science, astronomy, forensics, biology, weather, botany, and many more. Jason is also an Adjunct professor at Youngstown Statenvironmental sciences and biology. Jason has been married for 13 years and they have two children in the Lakeview School District. Jason enjoys working with adolescents, both in the sciences and as a basketball coach. Jason feels that soil and water education is the first step for our county in working district. Teaching classes to inform the public of current soil and water issues is a means to make everyone in our county better stewards of our resources. Bill Zuga—Bill Zuga would like your vote for the position of SWCD Supervisor. Bill and his wife, Janet, are the farm located in Vernon Township, which specializes in freezer beef, breeding stock and club calves. Bill graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture. In 2018 he retired from Farm Credit of Mid-America as a Regional Vice Both Bill and wife Janet are lifetime residents of Trumbull County and were both raised on family farms understanding the importance of protecting our environment. Bill uses conservation practicing; such as, sub surface drainage, grass waterways, stream bank erosion control and manure storage. In 2005, he was Cooperator Award for his work in conservation. They are the parents of two children. A son, Zack, who is a 3rd year med student at the Northeast Ohio Medical University and a daughter, Erika, who is studying for her Masters Degree in school psychology at Kent State University.
