2. Starter Activity – 5 minsWrite a paragraph explaining what you can remember about a vegan diet . . .Explain what it means to be vegan, and what foods vegan’s can and can’t eat.

3. Calorie intake and calorie outputCopy these sentences – The average adult male needs to take in around 2500 calories a day to maintain weight.The average female needs to take in around 2000 calories a day to maintain weight.

4. Calorie intake/outputTask one (10 mins ) – Make a thought shower identifying as many reasons as you can which would change the amount of calories a person needs to take in to maintain weight . . .One thing which impacts how many calories a person needs to eat to maintain weight is how active they are. Eg – if a person has a job in which they walk 15,000 steps a day they will need to have more calories.
