Membership:

All staff are members of AIT Library & can avail of services in support of teaching, research, CPD, outreach and general information needs & direct students to usAccess to Collections:

Your AIT Network Username & Password is your golden ticket into all Library resources; all collections are accessed through website

Staff Support:

We can do 1:1 sessions with staff through our Subject Specialists or general team depending on your needs & we will have specialist staff training sessions

Service Model:

We are operating a new service model this year and have significant COVID-19 measures in place for onsite activities.

Feedback: We are going through lots of changes & welcome feedback/input from staff & students to iterate and improve our services, spaces & support offerings.

Pre-booking for individual silent study & computers for point-of-need availability; time-management & planning study for students

Bespoke:

Diversity of information literacy sessions & supports with subject, stage and current assignment/tasks in mind; contact with academic staff & student reps

Teaching & Curriculum Development:

Book a 1:1 session with your Faculty Librarian to get a feel for our resources, sourcing materials you need for your modules etc.

Keylinks

library software can be used to develop reading lists in Moodle – project piloted, expanding this term

Book an Information Literacy session for your modules to focus on particular skills (searching/referencing) or to train on a specific resources (database) etc.

Direct students who are struggling with sourcing or referencing to us. Colleagues in Academic Writing Centre are also a huge support for students

Book a 1:1 session with your Faculty Librarian to get support with search strategies for your own research

Our specialist Scholarly Communications Librarian, Tania Marsh can help identifying the best journals to publish in and consult on Open Access/APCs etc.

Tania also leads our expertise in Researcher Profiling in particular
