It provides users with endless access to information and a means to communicate with anyone throughout the world at lighting fast speed. According to the 2010 United States Census 75.9% of individuals age 3 and above live in households with internet access (www.census.gov). A 2012 study by Pew Internet found that 88% of United States adults have cell phones and of those 55% use their cell phones to access the internet (www.pewinternet.org). Add to these statistics the abundance of internet hot spots, library, workplace, and school internet connections and it is safe to say a vast majority of Americans have access to the internet and the information contained therein. .
