RESULTS: “This program is so dedicated to Veterans that it is unbelievable. Without my job I have now, I would of never known about the hospital’s nursing program I will be attending.  Also, I would not have the extra income needed to support myself nor my family. MMAC was an opening of one door that led me to a hallway of hundreds of other doors.” -Army Medic“MMAC gave me the chance to keep practicing medicine at a decent pay while getting my education; making my transition almost seamless.”

-Navy Corpsman

MMAC allowed me to get back into the clinical field, helped build my clinical experience, medical terminology, and patient interaction. It helped me in my pursuit of applying to PA school.”

-Air

Force Aerospace Medical Technician

Because of MMAC I have been able to gain employment with benefits and stabilize my life and finances. I now dream bigger for myself and for my future.”

-Navy Corpsman

RESULTS: “The MMAC program has flourished at Bon Secours. Being the Clinical Director of the MMAC program since our first hire in July 2016 is an honor. The program brings pride to the veterans performing and partnering with civilian health care teams,

it enhances

our staffing capabilities

and brings

clinical experts into the ministry

.” -Julie Selvey, RN. Director of Nursing and Education, Bon Secours/Mercy Health “Our MMAC-referred employees are very efficient in emergency situations and know what needs to be done and are able to step in to complete the task. They are

accustomed

to chaos and do not get rattled. They are methodical, calm, helpful

, and

kind. They are able to provide the back up and moral support needed in many situations

. MMAC is a great clinical pathway for Veterans.”
