the topic.

The teacher will let the students guess the word(s) that corresponds to the picture shown.

If the students failed to guess the word, the teacher will give clue(s) to make them guess it correctly.

There were only five minutes for this activity.

After the activity was done, the teacher will give a brief definition of compound nouns out of the activity.Slide3

will be grouped into four.

Each

group will be given 5 compound

nouns

. The

task of the group is to role play whatever scenario they want using the given words.

Each group will be given 5 minutes to conceptualize and three minutes for presentation including the preparation.Slide23

After

the presentation, one member of each group will be given two minutes to defend their presentation by:

a. Reading

the words given;

b. Describing

the chosen scenario; and c. Reasoning

why they chose such scenario for the given words. Slide24

Students

will be grouped into six.

After grouping, the teacher will give an example of compound noun.

After giving a word, the teacher will draw the dice to determine what group will do the first task. The number in the dice reflects to the number of group that will do the first task.

The first task is to determine what part of speech does the first word of the given compound noun belongs, for example:

brown

coffee

, the first group will answer what part of speech does the word brown belongs. Slide33

Mechanics

Only

one representative from each group will answer for each task, if a certain member answered once, he/she is not allowed to answer again unless everyone in the group has answered already.

If

the group failed to answer the task correctly, the other group will have the chance to steal.

After

answering, the group which answered the first task will draw the dice to determine what group will answer the second task which is to determine what part of speech does the remaining word (coffee) belongs
