No two lip prints are exactly the same so a print can be used to identify an

Collecting lip prints
Talcum powder is placed near the print
The powder is then brushed in both directions over the print with a soft brush
After the print is photographed, clear tape can be used to “lift” the printSlide5
Common lip patterns
There are 5 common lip patterns:
Short vertical lines
Long vertical lines
Rectangular lines that may crisscross
Lines that form diamond patterns
Branching
lines
