SQXF Coil Splices / Leads Double extension lead. Pre-assembled into pairs using separate fixture. Lead length ??? 2 m used for HQ, longer than needed??Solder - 96/4 Tin Silver ribbon. Flux - Non-activated rosin flux. JDS - May 5, 2014 2 Procedure outline: Remove saddle extensions (140 mm).Leave saddles in place.Remove cable insulation.Clean leads with wire brush, alcohol.Remove last few mandrel blocks.Midplane shims stay in place, help support leads.Pre-tin coil lead using fixture + spacer.Fixture length = 122 mm.Joint starts 18 mm from saddle (room to work with saddle in place, also room to install voltage tap). Solder tinned lead to tinned extension pair.

JDS - May 5, 2014 3 Double extension lead soldered together before hand in separate fixture: Length = 200 mm (leads need to be joined and solder filled where they exit the impregnation fixture so that seal can be made).
