Began as two separate organizations in 1930’s at University of Illinois and Indiana University
Purdue Algonquin chartered in April, 1949
First Chapter to admit women
Tomahawk has been a proud tradition at Purdue for over 60 years

Requirements
Must be a Purdue University undergraduate student
Must be an independent student
(cooperative, residence hall, or off-campus living arrangement)
Cannot be a member of a social fraternity/sorority
Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher
(Can be cumulative or from previous semester)Slide12
Pledging
Things To Expect
-$30 pledge dues
-A few service events and a few social events
-Learning about Purdue and Tomahawk
-Acquiring a certain number of signatures
-Meeting new students and faculty
-Getting to know your pledge class and actives
