GS1 Antitrust Caution

3

GS1 operates under the GS1 anti-trust caution. Strict compliance with anti-trust laws is and always has been the policy of GS1.

The best way to avoid problems is to remember that the purpose of the committee is to enhance the ability of all industry members to compete more efficiently.

Participation is voluntary, we are governed by the Agenda. This means:

There shall be no discussion of prices, allocation of customers, products or market share

If any participant believes the group is drifting toward impermissible discussion, the topic shall be tabled until the opinion of counsel can be obtained.

The full anti-trust caution is available in the Community Room if you would like to read it in its entirety

CHECK available at GS1 Global Forum f

or MO internal testing that will begin after the GCP bank is created and populated by the

MOs.

Release of CHECK to MO’s in April/May 2018 depending on GCP availability from the

MOs.

Slide14

Core Features: VIEW

GTIN

Target Market

Brand

Company Name

Label Description

Medium Resolution Image

Global Product Classification

Sample Use Case

Product image crucial!

Release to MO’s when reliable high data quality and completeness is ensured, approximately fall 2018.

Slide15

C
