People are asking tough questions about who is behind NOWU, why it is OWU was also found by the Ontario Labour Relations Board to have OWUmerged into the Teamstersunion, Tim Oribine was appointed as a TeamstersBusiness Agentbut then that came to an end. In 2017, Tim Oribine became a union officialforanother tinyunion called NOWUand later the resident of NOWU. We have beenasked by members what risks this schemeholds fortheir working lives and benefits, if our jobs arein the hands of an outfit like NOWUand its leaders. Our union understands that some members have expressed dissatisfaction and the desireforstronger communications from TC Local 1976 USW, as well as clarity around the new collective agreement.
