MEMORANDUM To: JEDO From: Molly Howey Date: 3.25.20 RE: Helping Others Support Topeka ( HOST ) Relief Program GO Topeka staff has been working with a group of local community members interested in helping our Topeka/Shawnee County small businesses and displaced workers negatively affected by COVID 19. The community members are raising private dollars in hopes of receiving a match of public funding from JEDO to use in the form of relief grants to small businesses affected. T o date, $300,000 has been raised by the private sector. T on March 31, 2020 and we will announce the final amount raised at the April 1 st JEDO meeting . The private sector funds will be deployed in the form of purchases of products and services . These purchases are expected to b

The matching public funds are planned to be granted similar to the method we currently use for our traditional small to businesses able to demonstrate injury as a result of the COVID - 19 crisi s .
