Anyone 12 months of age and older who has not been vaccinated and wants to be protected against hepatitis A can get vaccinated. Your health care provider may recommend that you get vaccinated if you are at increased risk of getting hepatitis A.Free or lowcost vaccine is available for children and adults who do not have health insurance or whose insurance does not cover the cost of vaccines.
