Hello Year 5This week we’re thinking about inventors and inventions.‘Necessity is the Mother of Invention!’Things are invented because there is a need for them.We will think about toys and how we can use toys from the past to help us invent toys we can play with.Always remember the Design and Technology Golden Rule:Product, Purpose, User.

2. What toy could you invent? What is the Product?Why would you invent this toy? What Purpose does it have?Who would be the User of the toy? To begin find some (clean) junk from the recycling bin.Look at the images of toys from the past – can you make anything similar?Cup and ballDiabloPeg doll
