During this time, Amir betrays his friend Hassan and flees to America, it is a story abo ut his redemption and his journey through life set in 2 very different backgrounds. #3 - My Name is Red - By Orhan Pamuk: My Name is Red is a very moving story set amidst the splendor and religious intrigue of 16th century in Istanbul. It blends philosophy and art with thriller and archaic Islamic views. The author Orhan Pamuk was the first Turkish author to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature (2006).
