How Do I know what Props I need?

Prop Master
, using the script as a primary resource, develops a prop list of all props used by the actor in the action in the scene. Typically, the list is organized by Act and Scene. The prop list includes items that are on set and off-stage on a props table. Slide5

Types of props
Rehearsal prop- a substitute used by actors during the early weeks of rehearsal, e.g. a plastic cup instead of a borrowed silver cup used for the show.

Prop Locations
On large (3’x8’) tables, a table is located on each side of the stage and at any entrance.
Prop tables are mapped out in squares so that actors know what to grab and where to put them when they are finished. This also helps to track props through out the shows.Slide8
