As Michele ISAAC has transferred to VIIMCU – we have one vacancy-anticipate we can fill this from a list of candidates who were qualified, but not chosen – for the last CR-05 competition.Investigators – Cst. *Street-Checks were way up for Q2 and for YTD, as one of the Detachment’s crime reduction initiatives.

In Q2 there were dramatic (-) decreases in crimes against the person, -24.44%, and in property crime, -16.76% over 2014, primarily due to Assault offences, which far exceeded the Island Average.There was a significant (+) increase in traffic offences, 60.00% over 2014.

Project EnebelStreet level drug-trafficking drug enforcement operation May and June of 2015 in Sooke.-5 Sooke suspects arrested and charged with trafficking.-Search warrants executed on local homes.-charges include possession for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking, possession of stolen property, breach of recognizance.-Seized were quantities of cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, marihuana, stolen property.-one suspect has plead guilty and 4 await court date.Slide17
