ABOS FactsSlide46

ABOS (PW value increase)

Although we generally do not increase used values, there are occasions when we must in order for our values to stay relevant. The first being an overly aggressive depreciation schedule. In other words, arriving at scrap or salvage value too quickly. The second being an unusual change in the overall marine landscape and the third is if market data (sales reports/auctions/public sales/state registrations) show we are too low or too high.Slide47

ABOS (PW value increase)

In this case, I noticed we were too low, almost across the board, especially with the older models.  It seems jetskiis and waverunners are holding their value much longer than they used too.  The increase was 100% intentional.

Moving

forward, I will continue to monitor this issue closely.  Right now, I still feel we are still a touch conservative on these values.  It’s entirely possible that we might bump them again next year, but only if the market requires it.  Slide48

ABOS – Brand\Model Differences

Previous year link between Boat/Motor data & ABOS schedules was Brand/Model plus other pertinent data

New Stuff….Push Tech

What is it?

Push Tech is a process by which changes made to a parcel/account in one year can be pushed/sent to any other yearSomewhat of a muscled-up “Future” Slide54

Push Tech (new stuff)

Push Tech is enabled or disabled by checking Push Tech box on the Preferences screen

Note: There is also a check box for appeals (Push Tech – Appeals)Checking the Push Tech box will result in the user being prompt to push the changes made to a parcel to the Years (databases) designated in the configuration settings Slide55
