A Pangolin has a shell made of bony plates
covering the body like a shield. They feed mainly on ants.
They have strong claws to dig
into ant mounds. They can eat up to 200,000 ants in a single night. Their tongues are very long, about 70 cm in length, and sticky. The tongue muscles are very strong. If threatened, the Pangolin will curl up. They live in Central Africa, in equatorial forests.
