MANGA The G-Pen The most popular of the Japanese nibs. Loved by calligraphers for Spencerian / Copperplate writing. Capable of a variety of lines, from bold down to very fine. Great drawing nib! Very flexible. Many Manga cartoonists use this nib for their main drawing and for "effect" lines such as a flash line. Available in three packs from Nikko and Tachikawa. Saji-Chrome "Saji" means "spoon" and this large pen nib is similar to bowl-shaped American drawing nibs. Chrome-plated. Good for thick lines and overall general drawing. Available in three packs from Nikko and Tachikawa. School Pen The pen point on the School Pen nib is slightly softer, and the lines produced, a little bolder. Chrome-plated. Good for hard lines. Available in three packs from Nikko and Tachikawa. Nihon-Moji A very nice nib for comics lettering, with a flattened bowl for greater stability. "Nihon" means "Japan" and "moji" means "letter, as in a letter from the alphabet". Thus: a good lettering nib for your captions. Chrome- plated. Available in three-packs from Nikko and Tachikawa. Maru A smaller tube nib, similar to the crow quill nib. The Maru ("circle" or round) nib is good for drawing stable lines and for detailing. Also good for drawing details such as hair, folds of clothes, or inside of pupils. Available in two-packs from Nikko and Tachikawa CALLIGRAPHY A Series The "A" series of chrome-plated Tachikawa calligraphy nibs feature a square point and ink reservoir. Great for ornamented borders, decorative touches, and poster letters. Available in 0.5mm, 1.0mm, and 2.0mm widths. B Series calligraphy nibs feature a round point and ink reservoir, similar to other ornamental nibs. Good for uniform line lettering-- monoline-- as well as ornamental work. Available in 1.0mm and 2.0mm widths. C Series The "C" series of chrome-plated Tachikawa reservoir. These "general use" calligraphy nibs are useful for range of texts, including italic lettering, scroll and script-- you can use them for interesting line drawing work, if you're so inclined. They are available from us in the greatest range of widths: 0.5mm, 1.0mm, 2.0mm, 3.0mm and 4.0mm. Tachikawa Dual Penholder staff. This is a nice, stable wood Japanese pen holder that is unique: you can use the inner circle for the smaller Maru nib, or the outer circle for all the other Japanese points.
