October 2014Homework part 2– To make a 3D model of their bedroomThe second part of their homework is to make a 3D model of their bedroom using a shoebox or any other type of small box. This is not due until the 7th of November.Ask your child what is in their bedroom and the shapes that they can see. What shape is a wardrobe? What shape is their bed?Discuss with your child what materials they could use to make their 3D model. Could they use some fabric to make a bed cover? Maybe they could use small cereal boxes to make a chest of drawers or yoghurt pots to make a beside table. Use resources that you have at home. Please see the next slide for an example.Hand in date – Friday 7th November 2014Slide4

Here is an example that Mrs Jalaf’s daughter made when she was in Year 1.

She used a cereal box, a shoe box, perfume boxes and an old pair of pyjamas!
