Drug Abuse and Mission Youth Scheme The objectives of the Scheme are to Preventive Education and Awareness Generation Preventive education and awareness generation programmes to address specific target groups vulnerable and atrisk groups in their neighborhood educational institutions workplace slums etc with the purpose of sensitizing the target groups and the community about the impact of addiction and the need to take professional help for treatment The programmes would be carried out through collaborative efforts of other UT Government departments Universities Training Institutions NGOs other voluntary organizations etc. ATS is a 6 month outpatient, medically assisted, treatment program. We combine Cognitive Behavior Therapy with medications to assist patients achieve long lasting outcomes. We work with patients that have had difficulty with previous recovery programs, consequently are eager to become focused on getting better. 97% of our patients complete the entire 6 months Phase I program. Phase II is an option exercised by 89 % of our patient completing the initial program. Almost all of our patients have co-occurring mental health issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, or bi-polar illnesses. Radicalization is a dynamic process that varies for each individual, but shares some underlying commonalities that can be explored.. Shira.
