Focus Group Statistics
3
A total of 9 focus groups were conducted
39 participants
The participants were classified as either a consumer or a provider. There were 19 consumers and 20 providers.
The timeline for this project began in January 2017, and ran through early March 2017.
These focus groups were conducted via webinars/phones as this was found to be the most convenient/cost-effective way for both parties.
We also were able to visit an assisted living facility for a small focus group, as well as email out packets to individuals who weren’t able to attend a focus group, but participated on their own time. Slide4
The banner on the front page needs either to be slowed or completely taken out altogether.
Difficulty in reading font colors - The orange color theme needs to change across the entire site - It is just too light against the white
background
The Facility Locator tool needs to be prominently featured on the home page.

Advanced Search tab needs to be clearly marked
The search options should be saved automatically (should also implemented across the website)
The results column should be numbered
To many general search options, just save the most used (license status, name, city, street address, county, AHCA file number), the rest move to the advanced search
There should be the option to select multiple facility types and just use the general search to bring up resultsSlide6
General Changes

The
consumer guides need to have more information regarding the following subjects; Infection control-under this could also have current new infections that are present in the different health care facilities, Immunizations/vaccines, Alzheimer’s/memory care, elder
abuse/neglect/exploitation
All of the navigation buttons need to be at the top or the bottom for every tool
All
of the facilities that come up in the results page should be
underlined, showing they are in fact a linkSlide7

I listened for the second time, and took more extensive notes.
There
is so much information that will be helpful for me to share with others!
Very informative. Great overview of what can be found on the site.
I did not know all the detailed information to be found until I listened to this webinar today.
I was appreciative of the offering. I typically only search provider licenses and was not aware of the vast resources available on this website. Great tool to
have!
Excellent webinar for anyone who utilizes any healthcare facility (which is everyone) and for my work as
a healthcare risk manager.
Extremely impactful due to content and resources. As a
Homemaker/Companion Service
we are always looking to assist our clients with as many tools as possible for optimum health and quality of life.
The webinar was clear and the voice of the presenter was excellent for this type of webinar.

This is a hidden jewel, I am a
Service Coordinator in Senior Housing
, was unaware of the resources this may provide our seniors.
The webinar was very educational and the presenter is very knowledgeable about the website and accessing data.
I work with
a clinical laboratory
that is newly licensed in Florida, and the webinar today was very useful to me because it helped familiarize me with the tools and resources available on the website. Based on the information I learned today, I plan to spend time on the site using some of the tools that were discussed to see how all of the data available can help my company.
Excellent resource not only for my work but also for personal use. Thanks for also going through
myfloridarx
. Extremely enlightening (drive 2 miles, save $100).
Fantastic. We
use
it for us and to help our clients.
So very cool! Jessica did a great job walking participants through the various features of the site in a clear and understandable manner. She allowed ample opportunity for questions and was clearly knowledgeable and answered all questions thoroughly. She provided her contact information and made her self fully accessible to participants.
This was great information! I did even know Florida Health Finder existed!!
It really is an excellent tool not only for customer seeking information on providers but also for
providers to determine how their services stack up in comparison to other facilities.
It provides the layperson with a starting point and upon review will enlighten them to search for even more information that they did not know was even available.
Fantastic resources within a website. What a wealth of information at your fingertips! Not only that I've learned you are able to create spreadsheets with the information via the webinar. Wonderful. I've used this website for varying reasons
as I need data comparison with assisted living, home health, nursing home and hospitals.
It is at times difficult to navigate on my own, but once I heard about the webinar it has made things so much easier to navigate.
Amazing how much information you can find and how convenient it is.

SUGGESTIONS
Can you add the cost of the ALF as a search option?
How soon can we see 2016 data (on the Patient Data Query Tool)?
This is an amazing tool. It is data rich and clear. I wondered, however, if someone were needing an emergency facility in their immediate vicinity, if a button should hot link to that search capability from the home page. Not sure that would be useful, but if the search is offered, it would seem that the person doing the searching would be in an emergency, under stress, and likely would need an obvious 1-click solution.
How do you update or change the information listed on a specific provider?
Great session. Makes information finding a lot easier with guidance and assistance. I think the question and answer portion is great too. I know there are a lot of providers like myself that rely on this information and the support with navigation through the website is really a benefit. Not only for providers but from a consumer standpoint as well. Can there be separate sessions for providers and consumers? Also, will there be specific webinars for home health and assisted living?
Thank
you for today !!
Can you add a billing guide?

Very practical good for the public to hold the healthcare provider to be accountable to provide good quality healthcare and cost comparison to meet the needs of individual. Excellent. Just hope to narrow down the research and professional data time gap to 6 months if possible.
