Answer: In any cases, the manufacturer affixes the EC marking and drowses up and signs a declaration of conformity: he is the main responsible for the equipment he produces. For all the modules except module A, the identification number of the notified body in charge of the production control is also affixed on the equipment. It is clear that this commits also the notified body in function of the degree of its intervention. In case of dispute or accident, the justice will establish the respective responsibilities of the manufacturer and of the notified body. NOTE: It is reminded that in case of intervention of a user inspectorate, the equipment shall not bear the EC marking.
