What is an adjective? Adjectives are words that describe nouns.

Possessive Adjectives What is a possessive adjectives? They show to whom things belong or in others words, possession. Possessive adjectives My Your Her His Our Their Its. Possessive Pronouns Mine Yours Hers His Ours Theirs

Rules 1-A possessive adjectives is used only with a noun following it. Example: a- He has his book. b- They have their pens. Correct c-I have mine pen.d-I have my. Incorrect

Adjectives: comparisons with AS…AS Form: Subject + (not) As + Adj + As +Comp Rules: 1-Compare people, places or things and show how they are or aren´t similar. 2-Also show how they are the same or equal, and use just to make the comparison stronger.

3- Use not as + adj + as to show they are not same or equal. Examples: 1- The Jojo hamburguer is as good as Toto´s Hamburguer, but Jojo hamburguer isn´t as expensive as Toto´s hamburguer.2-The new apartment is just as big as the old. 3-The new house isn´t as varied bedroom as the old.

Adverbs: ModifyVerbs : The soccer team  played  badly last Saturday. Adjectives : It was an  extemely  bad match.Adverbs : The soccer team played extremely badly last Wednesday .Quantities : There are quite a lot of people here. Sentences : Unfortunately, the flight to Dallas had been cancelled.

Types of adverbs .1) Adverbs of manner  quickly kindly 2) Adverbs of degree very rather 3) Adverbs of frequency often sometimes4) Adverbs of time now today5) Adverbs of place  herenowhere

The three main positions of adverbs in English sentences 1) Adverb at the beginning of a sentence Unfortunately , we could not see Mount Snowdon. 2) Adverb in the middle of a sentence The children often ride their bikes. 3) Adverb at the end of a sentence Andy reads a comic  every afternoon.
