Talk to your friend and listen to what they have to say.

Offer support and encouragement.

Continue to invite your friend to do fun things together.

The Mind Spa is a room on campus designed for relaxation and meditation!

Features include:

Full body massage chair

A wall fountain

Biofeedback games

A Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) light

To beat the blues, find a way to have some fun everyday

This could include any number of things: Exercise, journaling, joining a club or organization, reading for fun, watching a movie or favorite TV show, spending time with friends, or any other activity you enjoy. Slide7

To beat the blues, don’t wait until the last minute

Take larger academic coursework and break it down into manageable pieces. Take advantage of academic resources on campus:

In-Hall Tutors, the Collaborative Learning Center (Valley Library), the Academic Success Center (Waldo Hall), or your faculty’s office hoursSlide8

To beat the blues, make sure you’re taking care of yourself

Get plenty of rest, eat a healthy, balanced diet, and try to get some physical activity in every day.Slide9
