All causes/history of symptoms should be assessed. Pharmacists should be aware of the NICE Guidance on Feverish Children and can advise on alternating ibuprofen with paracetamol if neither work individually

Patients who have presented to the service for more than 2 episodes in 6 months should be referred back to their GP
