Possessive Pronouns Let´s look at the possessive adjectives first. There are two sets. The first set goes before the noun.

Possessive Adjectives (after the noun) el suéter mío , los suéteres míos (my sweater, my sweaters) la sudadera mía, las sudaderas mías (my sweatshirt , my sweatshirts )el suéter suyo, los suéteres suyos(his, her sweater / his , her sweaters) la sudadera suya , las sudaderas suyas ( his , her sweatshirt / his , her sweatshirts )

Possessive Pronouns To form the possessive pronouns, use the long form of possessive adjectives proceded by the definite article. Both the article and the possessive must agree in number and gender with the noun they replace.

Possessive Pronouns El suéter mío (my sweater - poss. adj.) El mío (mine – poss. pron.) La sudadera nuestra (our sweatshirt)La nuestra (ours – pron.) El libro suyo (his book – poss. Adj.) El suyo (his – pron.)

Possessive Pronouns Mis padres son muy serios. ¿Y los tuyos ? Los míos son bastante divertidos. Tu familia es muy pequeña. La mía es bastante grande.

Possessive Pronouns We often omit the article between the verb ser and the possessive pronoun.Esas maletas son nuestras.Mi hermano siempre dice que toda la culpa es mía .
