Meet at St Aidans’s

car park at

10am. Depart 10.30amPlease ensure bags packed in accordance with airport security restrictions 15kg per person + one piece of hand luggage see Easyjet website if you have any queries Easyjet Flight EZY 2417 Check in opens 3:40 PM. Departs for Naples airport 5:40pm , arrives 9.20pm Opportunity to buy lunch at service station then more food at the airport. Additional food/snacks encouraged however please no nuts, egg or dairy. Monday 10th June- Coach and Air Travel

Arrive Naples 9.20pm

Travel by coach to accommodation (approximately 45 minutes)

Arrive at Hotel La Ripetta where rooms will be allocated and students settled for a good nights sleep. This is a long day so plenty of food and water required. Mon 10th Continued

Activity 1: Herculaneum ruins visit – teacher’s will provide a guided tour and background on the eruption of Mount Vesuvius which devastated the settlement.

Activity 2: Ice cream and sorbet making in Sorrento. This is lead by a brilliant lady who provides a great experience for the students and there is an opportunity to try lots of flavours!

Some free time to explore beautiful Sorrento and possibly buy gifts. Tuesday 11th

Activity 1: Mount Vesuvius Visit. Beautiful coach ride up the majority of Vesuvius before a final trek to the very top on foot.

Activity 2: Guided tour of Pompeii. Evening: Ice cream, Beach activities (Not swimming) ,Relax and enjoy!

Visit to a local working farm to sample home made produce (Delicious) and pizza making (even more delicious)

Stunning Scenic drive down Amalfi coast.

Amalfi Coast boat trip (weather dependent) Time in Amalfi centre with optional cathedral visit (must have shoulders/knees covered for this). Final Dinner at the hotel and beach if we have time!Thursday 13th

Most food is included whilst in Italy Supplementary snacks, drinks, ice-cream souvenirs will all require extra cash

Suggested amount, between €40 and €100 and about £25.00 English money.We ask for 15 Euros from students which covers the boat trip which we book on the day, weather permitting. We will try to negotiate the price down though, and any remaining Euros will be returned to students. Money

Students will be allocated a ‘buddy group’ for activities and moving around whilst we are there

There are 10 students per member of staff

Each student will be given a card with list of emergency/staff contact numbers for the duration of the trip.It is essential to bring any medication that appears on student’s school medical record e.g. inhaler. Any allergies or dietary requirements must be identified before we travel.Medical welfare and lost Luggage and is covered by the school insurance, (policy with Zurich ) any personable valuables are not covered. Please could we be really careful to avoid the following due to various allergies within the group of both staff and students:

- Nuts

- Eggs- Dairy-Aerosol sprays (these trigger the fire alarms!) - Perfume/aftershave (can we avoid this, we will be hot and sweaty no matter what!). Other Information

This is not a family holiday, it is a St Aidan’s school trip to Italy.

Please be ready on time and Listen to instructions from teachers.

Please observe local customs/culture – regarding clothing**No alcohol and no smoking.No illegal substances.No illegal activities.Student Safety is paramount, risk assessments have been conducted for all activities in conjunction with school policy. It is essential that students are not a risk to either themselves or others. Sanctions will be applied if necessary including a likely ban on future trips. Expectations
