InstructionsScoop 1 teaspoon of coconut oil and put it in your mouthTilt your chin up and slowly swish around. Makes sure it pulls through your teeth.

What RDH Should KnowJust like chlorihexide oil pulling is a preventative measure to educate patient.Patients should not use oil pulling as a alternative.Patients that oil pull should still brush and floss daily.Slide16

Side EffectsOil pulling is a natural way of detoxifying bacteria.While there's much research that says to be true about oil pulling, much of this research is not backed up with clinical evidences. As of now there are not any harmful side effects, but with further research there should be verified evidence. Slide17
