A mole eats worms. It lives underground. It has velvety fur. The mole has big paws for digging. It has little ears and eyes.Slide3

Snowshoe Hare

It has white fur in the winter. It has big feet. It eats grass and leaves. It can run fast. It's large feet keep it from sinking in the snow. Slide4

Hedgehog

Hedgehogs hibernate in the winter. That means they go into a deep sleep. It has prickly spines. It is a mammal. It eats insects and plants. Slide5

An owl hunts for mice. It can hear animals under the snow. It can fly. They have small beaks. They can turn their heads really far. They sometimes eat other birds. There are many kinds of owls.Slide6
