Slide8#Hashtags
A Hashtag is a word or words put together with a “#” right before it. The purpose of a hashtag is to allow people to view posts about a specific topic.
If you type a specific hashtag in a search box (primarily on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram), all the posts about that topic will come up **As long as they all have the SAME HASHTAG **
This is useful when posting about a cause or event
Examples of Hashtags - #DisabilityAdvocacy #TheArcPA

Slide13Tagging - Twitter
Twitter works in a similar way, but you have to be more specific and make sure you get the names exactly right, or they won’t come up.
IMPORTANT! On Twitter, if tagging at the beginning of a post, you must put a “.” before the Twitter Handle. If you don’t, then your post will only be visible to that one person or organization.
