Assemblywoman Jasey Speaks at Ramapo College MAHWAH, NJ — Assemblywoman Mila M. Jasey (D - Essex and Morris) spoke at Ramapo College in February as part of Higher Education Awareness Week. Assemblywoman Jasey discussed issues facing higher education institut ions in New Jersey. She is Chair of the New Jersey Assembly Higher Education Committee. She was first sworn into the New Jersey General Assembly in 2007 and served as a member of the South Orange/Maplewood Board of Education for three terms, including two years as President. She also is Co - Chair of the Joint Committee on the Public Schools and serves as a member of the Assembly Education Committee. The event was sponsored by College Advocates Supporting Higher Education Committee, Civic and Community Engage ment Center and the Office of the President.
