PRESENT PARTICIPLE

A present participle is a verb in the

present tense

Create a participial phrase

To

create a present participial phrase, take an

ING verb and START your sentence with

it.

Notice

the placement of the comma (after the end of the introductory phrase).Slide5

IMPORTANT!

Use a present participial phrase as a

SENTENCE STARTER

check to see that the sentence is still complete.
