There are (2) screws on the front and rear, as well as (1) on each side. Phillips Scre w Driver Case Screws (Front & Rear) Case Screws (Side) 2 Gently lift up the case being careful not to disconnect any wires. Rest the case next to the machine. Make sure the elevation is at the lowest trajectory point (where the pointer is parallel w ith the ground). Case Removed 3 To Remove the Existing Battery (Models: Freedom, Liberty, Elite 1,2 & 3).  Disconnect the red (positive) and black (negative) wires from the battery terminals.  Unstrap the Velcro and pull - out the old battery. To i nstall the new battery in your Freedom, Liberty, Elite 1, 2 or 3 model machine, please continue to step 6. To install the new battery in your Grand series IV, V and V LE continue to step 5. 5 To install A New Battery (Grand IV, V, V LE machines)  Connect the multi - stack onto the battery (positive) terminal.  Connect the 2 unplugged red wires to the multi - stack.  Connect the black wire to the battery (negative) terminal.  Reattach the Velcro straps to secure the batter to the chassis. Once your battery is securely in place and strapped down, continue to step 7. 6 To Install A New Battery  Position the battery in place on the plastic chassis. (*Make sure the terminals are facing th e back of the machine).  Reconnect the red (positive) and black (negative) wires to the positive and negative battery terminals.  Reattach the Velcro strap to secure the battery to the chassis.
