onkeys?Answer: We could breed them in a breeding

zoo to increase the number of them.

2. How have humans impacted on the Spider

their habitat . Humans wanted the wood of the

trees to make furniture.

3.Why do people kill Spider Monkeys?Answer: People kill the spider monkey for their skin to sell it Slide5

Ayla’s 3 Questions

For The Gorilla

1.Why do humans kill

gorillas

and what do they use them for?

Answer:

Humans kill gorillas because they get money by selling the gorillas skin and other body parts. Some humans also eat gorillas.

3.

2. What type of condition are Gorillas kept when in captivity, and does it affect them in any way?

Answer:

Most Gorillas are kept very well.

To keep them happy in captivity, large

h

abitats have been made to suit there

p

ersonalities.

3. How do humans threaten gorillas, and what corrects the problem?

Answer: H

umans threaten gorillas by; cutting down rain forests which causes habitat destruction. Gorillas can’t do much about it because they usually don’t fight back. We also kill gorillas by poaching for their meat. Humans correct the problem by starting laws, so it is illegal to kill animals such as gorillas. Slide6

Caitlin’s 3 Questions For the Proboscis Monkey

1.Why are the Proboscis Monkey becoming extinct and how can humans work together to increase the numbers?

Answer:

Proboscis Monkeys are becoming extinct because people are destroying their habitat so they can build houses. People used to hunt them

f

or food, but that stopped in 2006. I think humans could help increase the numbers by taking them to a breeding zoo, or stop destroying their environment they live in.

2. What is their habitat like and what do they eat?

Answer:

Proboscis monkeys like to live in mangrove forests and places near fresh water and rivers. They like to eat leaves, flowers, insects, seeds and fruit.

3. How are we endangering animals?

Answer:

Because we think it’s all about us

(for our own needs). For example; putting nets out to catch fish but we are killing dolphins, killing rainforests so we can built houses and grow food.Slide7
