Tools For Digging Deeper

We have before us what could be considered the greatest responsibility and the greatest privilege at the same time

What makes it great is that our souls as well as the souls of others depend upon itSlide4

Tools For Digging Deeper

What I am speaking of is the responsibility that we have to rightly divide the word of truth

That is what “Digging Deeper” is really all about

We want to dig down into God’s word that we might better discern His willSlide5

Tools For Digging Deeper

What does it mean to “rightly divide” the word of God?

The single Greek word there means to give accurate instruction; to teach correctly, to expound rightly

Another says to make a straight cut; to dissect correctly or analyze correctlySlide6

Tools For Digging Deeper

How can we be sure to rightly divide the word?

Now, more than ever, we have

no excuse

We must realize just how important it is to rightly divide; that souls are at stakeSlide7

Tools For Digging Deeper

Remember that the Bible teaches us of the importance of the words of God

Matthew 4:4

We are to live by “every word that proceeds from the mouth of God”

John 12:48

The word of God will judge usSlide8
