ESPINDADIRECTOR FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Jan. 29, 2015 SUSPECTS IN KNIFEPOINT ROBBERY NEAR CAPITOL ARRESTED BY STATE SHERIFFS AND HONOLULU POLICE HONOLULU Sheriff Deputies and Honolulu Police arrested two men who robbed a man at knifepoint near the State Capitol yesterday afternoon. At around 3:30 p.m., a deputy sheriff on the fourth floor of the State Capitol heard a commotion on the ground level. He notified other Capitol deputies who responded to the Hotel Street Mall area. Upon arrival, the deputies were told by the victim that he was robbed at knifepoint by two males. The deputies notified Honolulu Police and they began searching the area. Deputies located one of the suspects, 23 year-old William Jardine-White. Honolulu Police located the other one, 45 year-old Clement Mao. Jardine-White and Mao were booked by Sheriffs for Robbery 1.
