The Mercy Journey Mercy in Our Communities Bringing mercy offering compassion and enacting justice in the world around us The purpose of the gospel is restoring creation taking the things that are falling apart and bringing them back together  Meeting psychological social and physical needs Youre not saved by doing that but you are saved to do that Without the business of restoration youre just waiting for heaven and thats a very reductionistic understanding of the Christian life . Its Easter Sunday only you dont know its Easter yet So far as you know Jesus is dead buried and beginning to rot And your whole life is in shambles The last three years have proved to be a total waste of time following a man you had thought and hop Immense and Free. O sing my soul . and tell all He’s done. ‘Til. the earth and heavens . are filled with His glory.. Lift High the Name of Jesus. Lift high the Name of Jesus. Of Jesus our King. Make known the power of His grace. Corporal works of mercy is a strange phrase but it means the practical things you can do to help others: . Can you think of a story from the Gospel where most of these things are said?. If you cannot remember the story then look up MT25 31-46 . Divine Mercy, in which we are all immersed, Extraordinary. . It is journey that begins with a spiritual conversion. For this reason, I have decided to call an extraordinary Jubilee that is to have the mercy of God at its centre.
