4/19/2018 Just In Time Accelerator (JIT A ) Funding C enter for Patient, Family, & Community En gagemen t in Ch r on i c C are Management (CENTRIC) CENTRIC will be accepting application s on an open basis for Just In Time Accelerator (JITA) f unding. JIT A funding has been designed to support feasibility work predominately for our faculty and postdoc s who have little or no funding or access to other funding sources to get the work done . Applicants may request between $500 and $10,000 to use in 6 months , (only necessary funding will be approved) . Applications including the required materials should be emailed to centric@unmc.edu . The CENTRIC Core Nursing Committee will invite applicants to present at the scheduled monthly meetings. Priorities for funding:  Pilot feasibility work needed for larger grant submissions (e.g. Oncology Nursing Society Foundation, American Heart, IDeA - CTR, CENTRIC pilot, R1 5, R21, or R01 if additional data is needed to support an R01). Eligibility:  UNMC College of Nursing faculty and CENTRIC Postdocs . Applications should include the following:  JIT A funding face page  1 page Abstract ( if appropriate include the rationale for the project, specific aims, approach [ design, sample, measures , procedure and analysis] and potential impact ). sal and to what funding mechanism (s) you plan to submit .  1 paragraph - ½ page explanation of how this project fits with the mission of CENTRIC to advance self - management in chronic care.  Budget with Budget Justification (if devices or equipment are purchased with this funding they will become the property of CENTRIC after this work is completed ).  Provide a start date for JIT funding. If needed, IRB and any other approvals must be obtained prior to start date. Fund ing will be good for up to 6 months from the start date you provide. Extension requests of up to six months will be considered but not guaranteed .  Timeline for JITA funding in relation to projected grant proposal (e.g. if you receive funding on May 1, your funding will end October 31; the larger grant application ($50K or more) is expected to be submitted as soon as possible within the next 6 months (April 30). Expectation :  Present request to the core nursing committee at a scheduled monthly meeting .
