What is an emotion(feeling)?A temporary

internal feeling state which is an instinctive, biological reaction to events.

It creates physical sensations, habits and behaviours in us. Slide9

What is a mood?

What happens in our bodiesthe heart pumps more blood into the muscles so that they can work harder

more blood pumps into the brain so that it can think faster

breathing gets faster to get more oxygen into the body

the pupils in the eyes get bigger to see better

at the same time the body slows down digestion of food

The body produces more adrenalin to make the heart beat faster and more stronglySlide16

What can we do to help others?Speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15) Point them to God’s word (Isaiah 55:11)
