License Description:Genetic counselors are required to be licensed in Idaho. Requirements for licensure include: 1.) Submitting an application with required documents, and fees; 2.) Possessing a master\'s or doctoral degree in genetics or a related field from a board approved college or university; 3.) Passing a nationally recognized competency examination approved by the board. Term: Licenses are renewed annually.
