is a region of Great Britain. The capital is Edinburgh. The national day of Scotland is St Andrew´s day (November 30th). The castle of Edinburgh is a famous landmark of this city.The castle is on a volcanic rock.It was built in VI century.There are many legends about this castle,and about ghosts.  Slide3

Other

landmark of this region is the Loch Ness.It is a lake situated in Highlands. It is the second largest lake in Scotland,but it is the deepest.The legend tells that there Nessie lives,a monster.Some people say that they have seen it,but

there aren’t proofs that the monster exists. Slide4

The

kilt is the most typical cloth of Scotland.It is a skirt but only the men can wear it for special occasions.Kilt colours change according the clan.The origin of the kilt is the “Feileadh mor”,a long robe about five meters long,which is

folded

and then a belt is held

around

the waist.The rest of cloth is held in the shoulder with a brooch.Slide5
