The historic Fountain Coffee Room at the Beverly Hills Hotel, built in 1949, features 19 counter seats. Instead of the traditional silver dollar pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bottomless cup of coffee, the place settings in front of them will be filled with Nantucket Bay scallops, Snake River Farms pork loin, and wine pairings for two popup dinners next month. (The entire menu is printed below.)The inspiration behind these dinners was to "create a dining experience where whimsy meets sophistication and serve a fourcourse meal in a playful and fun atmosphere," says Executive Chef Kaleo Adams. "We truly have a onekind setting here, and the contrast between the feel of the space and the quality of the meal guarantees a memorable evening that just can't be duplicated." The Fountain Coffee Room dinners will take place at 8pm on Wednesday, February 18, and Thursday, February 19, 2015. The cost is $149 per person and reservations will be accepted at 3102812904 starting this Friday.
